Medical Social Work department is an integral part of the Directorate of Mental Health Services and rehabilitation, social workers collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care including emotional, social support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation tailored to the unique needs of patients. 
By integrating social work into the mental health services framework, Mathari National teaching and referral Hospital enhances the overall quality of care and promotes better outcomes for patients, fostering a supportive environment for healing and growth.
