Child and Adolescent Mental Health

The unit provides comprehensive mental health services for children, adolescents, and their families. Mental health disorders in children and adolescents are categorized as developmental, behavioral, and emotional.  Mental illness leads to significant consequences throughout a child’s life, affecting their development, academic performance, physical health, and overall well-being.
The clinic is staffed by a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and occupational therapists. Currently the services are offered on out-patient basis with plans for in-patient care in the near future.

  • Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Behavioral disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Conduct Disorder (CD)
  • Psychosis in children
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Suicide risk and self-harm
  • Convulsive disorders and their complications
  • Substance use disorders
